While remaining faithful in overall shape to the original 356 Speedster body, our top has been vastly improved in both form and function over that of the original Porsche 356 Speedster.
FORM
The appearance of our top has been significantly improved over both the original and other 356 Speedster replicas by:
- the use of wider hood bows to smooth the line
- creating a convertible top that follows the line of the coupe, a look much more in keeping with the overall style of the car
FUNCTION
Changes have also been made to make our top much more functional:
- the top is easily raised or lowered from inside the vehicle by one person
- enlarged rear window significantly improves visibility, making the CSW Speedster much safer to drive
- with the side windows of glass, the top seals properly, keeping out the elements and reducing noise level
