SAFETY
Safety considerations were an integral part of the design concept when our 356 Speedster replica was being designed.
Safety features include:
- 3 point seat belts
- 4 wheel disc brakes as standard in all our vehicles
- custom built tube steel chassis provides much greater torsional stiffness and lateral impact protection than the VW Beetle chassis used in most kits
- enlarged rear window to improve visibility and reduce blind spots
- low profile tires to improve breaking and handling performance over stock VW sized tires
- superior control associated with rack & pinion steering
All safety related components, including lights, brakes, wheels and tires, windshield and steering column were originally designed for production vehicles and are MOT/DOT approved.
With all these changes, the CSW 356 Speedster replica is far safer than the original.
