Finally, a modernized, high performance, mid-engine, 220 - 275 hp replica of the Porsche 356 Speedster with all the classic lines and beauty of the original.
Prior to initiating design on our 356 Speedster replica, the CSW Speedster , we test drove vehicles from other 356 Speedster replica 
manufacturers and interviewed owners to determine where existing designs could be improved on. The conclusions from this research drove the following design decisions:
APPEARANCE of the original Porsche 356 Speedster has been preserved while completely modernizing every other aspect of the car.
PERFORMANCE has been enhanced by moving the engine to the mid-engine position, installation of modern high-performance water-cooled engines and use of modern suspension and rack & pinion steering, to name just a few of the improvements. 
COMFORT has been increased by the use of reclining seats, moving the firewall forward and dropping the floor pan to accommodate taller drivers and passengers, electric windows, tilting and telescoping steering columns, and electrically adjustable foot pedals.
SAFETY has been greatly improved versus the original Porsche 356 Speedster with the addition of all wheel disc brakes as standard equipment and the superior control of rack & pinion steering. A heavy-duty, tube steel custom-built chassis has been designed to protect the occupants and handle the vastly increased torque. Our Porsche Speedster replica is far safer than the original.
