Title & Registration

Kit cars and hot rods will generally be titled as "Replica/Reconstruct".

All documentation including a Manufacturers Certificate of Origin, bills of sale, etc. need to be taken to the Idaho Transportation Department where a Motor Vehicle Inspector will review them, inspect the completed vehicle and issue a VIN and a title.

Registration follows the normal process once a VIN and title have been issued.

Emissions Testing

"Replica/Reconstruct" vehicles are exempt from emissions testing.
