CSW Speedsters is an organization dedicated to producing a replica of the Porsche 356 Speedster for those drivers who love the classic styling of the Porsche of the 50's but demand modern high performance, comfort and safety in every other aspect of their vehicle.
The company was founded 2004 by Ted Hamilton, a Canadian who had returned to Canada after twenty years of building and managing companies in various countries throughout the world, including Australia, New Zealand, Peru, Chile, Brazil and Bolivia. On returning to Canada, he decided to pursue what had been a life-long passion, the building of replica cars.
Combining the general business expertise acquired during his career with his fascination for exotic cars, Ted decided to take a totally market driven approach to creating the most modern Porsche Speedster replica in the industry. Prior to commissioning design work, several months were spent interviewing owners of original and replica Speedsters and test driving the vehicles of several other Porsche 356 replica manufacturers. From this came a long "wish list" of changes that many drivers wanted made to the existing vehicle designs. This "wish list" formed the basis of the CSW Speedster concept and design guidelines.
In November, 2005, Prestige Auto Works was commissioned to carry out both the mechanical design and fabrication of all tooling and moulds.
Based in Kingston, Ontario, the company is close to major transportation arteries serving North America and close to the busy ports of Montreal, QC and Toronto, ON. This allows CSW Speedsters to serve customers in an efficient and timely manner, delivering vehicles to customers quickly and with a minimum of cost.
